Song Hye Kyo

The biggest tension rises between Jo In Sung and Bae Jong Ok.

Regardless of how much Oh Soo (Jo In Sung) and Secretary Wang (Bae Jong Ok) hate each other, they share a similar goal. They both try to drag Oh Young (Song Hye Kyo) to the hospital to get treated for her life threatening condition. From the first moment they met, they have hated each other from suspicions. So with this type of tension, one must want to kill Oh Young while the other wants to save her. Ironically however, they both want to save Oh Young's life.

Since they both have the same goal, it would be nice if they got along. However, this is impossible because their reasons for wanting save Oh Young are very different. Oh Soo wants to save her because of love. Secretary Wang on the other hand wants to save her for a different reason, not love for sure.

Currently, it appears as though Secretary feels jealous of Oh Soo rather than any other emotion. This explains why she tries to hurry Oh Young's wedding. Secretary Wang is not concerned about whether Oh Soo is lying or not, she is concerned that he may actually be very sincere about his feelings for Oh Young and steal her away from her control.

Since Oh Young was a little girl, Secretary Wang tried to act like her mom. Oh Young's parents divorced when her father cheated on her mother with Secretary Wang. For many reasons, Oh Young refuses to accept her as a new mother. Even though Secretary Wang loves Oh Young, she is still overcome by her greed and ends up hurting Oh Young.

However, there is hope that Secretary Wang's negative intentions may change over time, just like how Oh Soo has changed after meeting Oh Young.

The writer of this drama emphasizes the importance of love and how powerful love is. This can be seen in a scene that features Oh Soo begging Jo Moo Cheol on his knees to get his sister to help Oh Young. Oh Soo tells the man who is trying to kill him, "I'll come back tomorrow, I'll come back again the day after that. I'll make sure I'll die in your hands. Let's let Oh Young live. She's just an innocent girl. Let's not make her become Hee Joo."

Jo Moo Cheol turns and begins to walk away but his eyes were tearful. It may have been because he remembered Hee Joo but he was definitely affected by what Oh Soo had said to him. He wouldn't be human if he wasn't touched by what Oh Soo said. Jo Moo Cheol was changing as well.

Oh Young and Jo Moo Cheol are similar in certain ways. They want to live but they can't really live. It is not sure whether they will be able to live the life they dream of, but one thing that is for sure is that even the characters who were living in despair are beginning to see hope.
