Lee Seung Gi Successfully Completes First Action Scene for “Gu Family Book”

Actor Lee Seung Gi shot his first action scene for upcoming MBC drama.

On March 20th, still images of the actor in the middle of a scene involving his fighting skills were revealed by Samhwa Networks.

In the stills, the actor shows his martial arts kills, and takes on too many opponents at once, confidently take them all down. The scene, which was the first action for the drama, took place on March 15th, on Hadong-gun, South Gyeongsang Province.

To be 100% ready to take in his action scenes, the actor hardly trained at action prior to beginning the drama shooting, the actor also learned horseback riding, as that was the main transportation method at the time.

Lee Seung Gi appeared on the set with that charismatic smile that is his trade mark, and as soon as “action” was yelled, the actor went into serious mode, showing his tricks and fast movements.

After the shooting, that took eight hours, the actor commented, “I prepared myself a lot in advance. I learned from the basics, as much more actions dramas are too come. This was my first action scene, and I don't even know how I got it done. I am looking forward for the actions scene to come.”

On the drama, Lee Seung Gi will play the role of Choi Kang Chi, a half-human, half-nine-tailed fox. He lives in the struggle of living the normal life of a human being.

“Gu Family Book” also known as “The Writing of Nine Houses” will premiere on April 8th, on MBC at 10Pm (KST).
