Moon Geun Young and Ji Chang Wook Cast as Leading Roles for “Goddess of Fire Jeongi”

Actors Moon Geun Young and Ji Chang Wook will be leading new MBC historical drama.

It was recently revealed that the two actors were called and cast in for MBC's “Goddess of Fire Jeongi.” This will be the actors' comeback to historical dramas.

Previously, reports said that the actress was in the talks, and was “positively thinking” about appearing in the drama, apparently she decided to take the role.

This will be Moon Geun Young's second historical drama. She was the female leading role in the 2008 drama “Painter of the Wind.”

According to the reports, Ji Chang Wook revived a love call from writer Kwon Soon Gyu, who he work with in “Warrior Baek Dong Soo.”

This will also be Ji Chang Wook's second historical drama, he was the leading role in the 2010 SBS drama “Warrior Baek Dong Soo.”

Apparently, the actors gave good, and positive feedback, therefore the staff of the drama have faith in the actors, as they have had experience with historical dramas.

The drama will be directed by Park Sung Soo (No Limit, Mr. Gang) and written by Kwon Soon Gyu (Warrior Baek Dong Soo) and will take place in the Joseon dynasty and will be about Baek Pa Sun, the first woman who created ceramics.

“Goddess of Fire Jeongi.” is to be aired on Mondays and Tuesdays after “Gu Family Book” ends in June 2013.
