Yoon Sang Hyun And Maybee Announce Some Happy News

Actor Yoon Sang Hyun and his wife, singer Maybee have announced the happy news that they are expecting an addition to their family.

Maybee's agency, MGB Entertainment confirmed the news by releasing a statement about her pregnancy.

"Maybee is currently 15 weeks pregnant," said the MCB representative. "It is not a shotgun pregnancy."

The representative may have felt the need to state that the singer was not pregnant when the couple married because they only dated for a short time before setting a date.

Yoon Sang Hyun announced that he was dating Maybee last November. The couple had apparently been dating since July 2014. They met on a blind date set up by friends.

And at the same time that Yoon revealed he was dating, he announced that he and Maybee planned to marry early in February.

When he appeared on an episode of the program "Healing Camp," the 41-year-old actor explained why there was no need to wait any longer. He confessed that he knew early on that Maybee would be the one.

"It hasn't been that long since I started dating her but I felt sure," he said. "She is the woman that I've been looking for."

Yoon is older than the singer but never saw that as a problem.

"We're six years apart," he said. "But she understands my work. She is optimistic and bright."

He decided to marry her after she invited him to her home for a meal. The sight of her cooking reminded him of his mom.

"When I saw her cooking in the kitchen, that's when I made my decision."

After the February wedding, the couple did not go on a honeymoon. Instead they released a single together. Proceeds from the duo effort, titled "Balsam," were given to charity. Although Yoon Sang Hun is primarily known as an actor for his roles in "Secret Garden," "I Hear Your Voice" and "Gap Dong," he is also a singer, having released a single in Japan.  He sang at the wedding of his "I Hear Your Voice" co-star Lee Bo Young when she married actor Ji Sung.

"The two are living their newlywed life very happily. Maybee is currently focusing on prenatal care," said the MGB representative.

Yoon Sang Hyun  can currently be seen on the SBS program "Law of the Jungle in Yap."

Singer-songwriter Maybee has written songs for Lee Hyori, MC Mong, A Pink and SG Wannabee.
