In "High Society" Lim Ji Yeon and Uee play best friends. They like to eat together, walk together and talk about the men that interest them.

And Lim Ji Yeon's character Lee Ji Yi is willing to give up her crush on Sung Joon's character Choi Joon Gi just because Uee likes him. That's friendship for you.

Their friendship may be threatened by the news that Uee is really a rich girl and does not need to work for a living, but given how close they were, we like to think it will survive. Li Ji Yi is the kind of best friend every girl wants.

One of k-drama's least pleasing lot twists is to pit two women against each other in competition for the same man. K-drama women have done some pretty awful things to each other in the name of love.

And even the nicest girl characters in k-dramas often don't seem to have any friends.

But there are a few k-dramas that focus on female friendship.

"The Legendary Witches" is a drama in which women from different backgrounds bond in prison and are there for each other after their release. Under the leadership of Han Ji Hye, they form a family.

"Angry Mom" also featured a friendship between two women who were there for each other no matter what. Go Su Hee's colorful character even pretended to be Kim Hee Sun's mom when they were originally school classmates. She took on the bad guys for her friend and supported her cause when everyone else was telling her to quit.

In "Who Are You - School 2015," Kim So Hyun's wealthier character had friends who defended and supported her, even when she turned out to be twins.

In "Personal Taste" Son Ye Jin had the worst girlfriend in the history of k-dramas. Her friend, played by Wang Ji Hye, stole and was planning to marry Son Ye Jin's boyfriend without even telling her. But fortunately, her other friend, played by Jo Eun Ji, stood by her side and even encouraged her to get closer to Lee Min Ho.

Female friendship plays an important role in a few dramas, including "Boys Over Flowers," "The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry" and "Protect The Boss."

In "Protect The Boss" Choi Kang Hee and Ha Jae Suk are best friends, but Wang Ji Hye plays Choi's rival. However, part way through the drama Wang Ji Hye's character learned the value of having a friend and started spending more time with both these friends.

It's not that k-drama lovers don't enjoy the romance and the melodrama, but it is nice when the heroines get the love and support of their BFFs.

Which k-drama best friend would you claim for your own.
