The SBS weekend drama "Incarnation of Money" has been attracting all types of viewers with its strong story line.

Unlike other dramas that disappointed viewers after a big hype was built up regarding their huge scale and special effects, SBS "Incarnation of Money" has been drawing attention for a different reason.

Even though "Incarnation of Money" cannot be referred to as a masterpiece, it is getting a lot of praise for its ability to attract viewers with a strong story even without fancy imaging for special effects. Also, "Incarnation of Money" features the genre of black comedy, something that is still underdeveloped and unfamiliar in Korea.

** Life or Death because of money

"Incarnation of Money" features characters that are completely blinded by money. However, the interesting element about this drama is that the characters do not dive in to achieve their goals. Their actions become caricatured and the overall story resembles a satire.

The story begins with four men: a judge, a reporter, and an actor who makes an agreement to cover up Lee Cha Don's murder. They split the assets left behind by the person who was killed and locks up his wife in a mental hospital. They murder their only son and make it appear as if a car accident had killed him.

Even though the four men believe their son to be dead, he lives as a man named Lee Cha Don after he loses his memories from the trauma. However, when his memories suddenly return, Lee Cha Don begins to plan a revenge to bring down the four men who ruined his family's life.

Up until then, "Incarnation of Money" may appear like any other dramas with a dramatic and unrealistic story line. However, the writer constantly includes various humorous material mixed into the story in order to soften the tension of the story that features the universal human greed for money. With each episode, viewers become more and more anxious for the upcoming episodes for its humor and its interesting story line.

The writer drew attention by adding humor to the depressing story of a boy who lost everything to people who are blinded by money.

Featured actors like Hwang Jung Eum, Kang Ji Hwan, Park Sang Min, Oh Yoon Ah and Kim Soo Mi add to the entertainment of the drama "Incarnation of Money".

** Humans are Always Obsessed About Money or Passion

One year after writing "Salaryman Cho Han Ji" last year, the writer unveiled "Incarnation of Money". These two dramas contain very similar themes including the exaggerated drama and hints of slapstick comedy. Of all things, the biggest theme in both dramas is money.

The writer added one new element to "Incarnation of Money". It's love. Even though the path the characters take for money and revenge are similar to "Salaryman Cho Han Ji", love plays a role this time.

The main female character Bok Jae In (Hwang Jung Eum) is an attractive and obese woman who transforms into a very skinny and beautiful woman. She receives plastic surgery from her head to her toes in order to get the attention of the man she loves. Bok Jae In has always loved Lee Cha Don (Kang Ji Hwan) and will continue to love him.

Eun Bi Ryung (Oh Yoon Ah) is on the same boat. When she is rejected by Ji Se Gwang (Park Sang Min) after all she does for him, she plans to take revenge for the scars she received.

"Incarnation of Money" features characters that lock up their family members in the mental hospital for money as well as other public figures in society who contribute to the corruption.

Whenever the story starts to become too dense, the writer adds humor to lessen the tension. The drama is getting endless praise from viewers who are falling in love with the drama more and more as each episode airs.
