Is Selena Gomez dating Cody Simpson as she moves on from her rumored affair with DJ Zedd?

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that SelGo was purportedly spotted hanging out with Cody Simpson and some friends in Venice. It might be too early to tell whether there's something romantic going on between the two.

But some are optimistic about the possibilities especially since Cody Simpson broke up with his long-time girlfriend Gigi Hadid a few months ago. Gigi Hadid is now reportedly dating Joe Jonas.

Just a few days before being rumored that she's dating Cody Simpson, Selena finally opened up about her past affair with Zedd in an interview with New Zealand's radio show "The Edge Afternoons." When asked about Diplo's claim that their rumored connection was nothing but a publicity stunt, the former Disney actress set the record straight.

"He said that was a joke! He said it was a joke 'cause I talked to him," the 22-year-old singer reportedly said, as quoted by People. "First off, it's very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn't. I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice."

Selena Gomez and Zedd were spotted in various events together, just after they released their collaboration hit song, "I Want You To Know."

Selena admitted that having rumors written about her can be tough, but she does her best not to let gossip affect her.

"I think it's going to always happen but at the end of the day people see it," Selena said. "So if people were to say, 'hey, she's pregnant,' well they are going to see in nine months that I'm not. It's just kind of obvious when things are blatant lie- things are going to come into the truth instantly."
