Kim Hee Ae Comes Back to Movies After 20 Years

Actress Kim Hee Ae will grace the big screen after a 20-year absence.

On April 1st, it was confirmed that the actress have decided to appear in the movie “Elegant Lie.” She will play the role of a mother, who struggles with the death of her 14-year daughter after she committed suicide.

“Elegant Lie” will be based on a book by Kim Ryu Ryung with the same name, that talks about how the life of various people will be affected after a 14-year old girl commits suicide.

The actress will make a movie for the first time in 20 years, since the 1993 movie “101th Propose.” it was said, the actress decided to take on the role, as the movie talked about the delicate topic of suicide.

She has been appearing in different drama "A Wife's Credentials," "Midas," and "My Husband's Lover" in the recent years.

The movie will be directed by Lee Han, who have directed movie “Punch” “My Love” “Almost Love” and “Love's Concerto.” "Punch" was also based on a book by the same name by Kim Ryu Ryung. So it will be the second time the director and the author will work together.
