Kim Woo Bin is one of Korea's rising film and K-Drama stars. Over the course of six years, he has successfully transitioned from a career in runway modeling to star in top movies like the crime noir "Friend: The Great Legacy" and the coming-of-age comedy, "Twenty."

On July 16, he will celebrate his birthday while audiences and critics continue to wonder what his next project will be.

Kim Woo Bin shares the charismatic personality and dramatic range of his friend, Lee Jong Suk along with the Hallyu appeal of his "The Heirs" co-star, Lee Min Ho.

Here are five reasons to love Kim Woo Bin.

1. His facial expressions and quirky eyebrows are priceless.

He incorporates his background in high fashion and runway modeling when he is on-camera. This makes for compelling viewership, whether he is appearing on television or on the silver screen.

2. Kim Woo Bin seamlessly transitions between comedy and action.

His film performances have ranged from the dark crime noir, "Friend: The Great Legacy" to the raunchy laugh fest, "Twenty." Versatility is an integral part of acting and Kim Woo Bin has proven that he is capable of tackling a variety of roles.

3. Kim Woo Bin has the potential to be one of Korea's top film stars.

Whether his next project is a drama or film, audiences can expect a strong performance.

4. His iconic portrayal of Choi Young Do in "The Heirs" helped to elevate the second lead from mediocrity.

The sullen conglomerate heir Choi Young Do has set the precedent for roles like Gong Tae Kwang in "Who Are You: School 2015."

5. He provides proof that models are more than just pretty faces.

Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk are proof that excellent models can be strong actors.
