Joe Manganiello Workout: How He Maintains 'MMXXL' Body That Makes Sofia Vergara Swoon

Joe Manganiello once again made fans gush in his latest movie "Magic Mike XXL" where he co-starrred with Channing Tatum.

With his rock-hard abs and and sculpted muscles, fans have been dying to learn about the actor's workout and fitness regimen.

According to Entertainment.ie, Joe Manganiello's 2013 book "Evolution" offers not just the actor's workout secrets, but also the philosophies behind it.

"For him, failures are as important as the successes, and that you need to dig deep to use them as fuel." the website wrote.

"He outlines how he made a big break in 2002 when he played Flash in Spider-Man, but he let that go to his head and started drinking every day. After nearly hitting rock bottom, Manganiello realised he'd need to make some changes, and started getting serious about his fitness."

Joe Manganiello's workout routine is reportedly less about heavy lifting and more about getting the right amount of cardio exercise.

"I focus less on increasing weight and raise the intensity by doing more reps and resting less. In other words, the philosophy is constant motion," the former "True Blood" actor said.

According to Men's Fitness, Sofia Vergara's main squeeze bulks up with "just tried-and-true bodybuilding staples like the bench press, overhead press, and pushdown."

"He warms up slowly on the bench, working up to the heaviest load he can handle for two reps, then backs off the weight for higher reps to get a pump," the magazine added. "From there, he alternates exercises for different muscle groups so he can accomplish more work in less time."

In an interview, Joe Manganiello dished out that he actually loves doing his workout and he doesn't have to drag himself to the gym half-heartedly.

"I love training or having a movie that gives me an excuse to train that way," Joe Manganiello told People. "It sounds like everybody hates it, but I love it! I know Kevin [Nash] loves it."
