JK Rowling New Book Release Date October 22: 'Career Of Evil' Trails 'The Cuckoo’s Calling'

Renowned author who wrote the Harry Potter series has announced that two more additions are in the works. JK Rowling's new book, "Career of Evil's" release date October 22, USA Today reported.

"The third in the trilogy written by the Harry Potter author under her nom de plume is a mystery-thriller featuring private detective, Coromoran Strike Pseudonymous … JK Rowling's new Cormoran Strike book has been announced," the Guardian reported. 

Fans of Harry Potter are not waiting for the JK Rowling new book release date. The highly anticipated Rowling thriller has increased Amazon’s pre-sales charts right after the "Career of Evil" was announced.

Rowling – and her “good friend” Galbraith – unveiled the details of the book, including its jacket, on Twitter on Thursday, and the novel is now the biggest gainer in sales rank on Amazon.co.uk, topping the online retailer’s “movers and shakers” list over the last 24 hours.

JK Rowlng's new Harry Potter book is called "Robert Gallbraith Career of Evil" with the release date set for the fall. The book was revealed on Twitter last week.

"In the third Cormoran Strike novel, Robin receives a mysterious package containing a woman’s severed leg," Sphere, the publisher of the novel said in the report by Guardian. "Strike, a war veteran, believes that four people from his past could be responsible, since he knows that any one of them is capable of sustained and unspeakable brutality.”

Sphere added, "And with the police focusing on the wrong suspect, Strike and Robin take matters into their own hands." Publisher, Sphere called the novel “a gripping story of a man and a woman at a crossroads”.

"Career of Evil" trails "The Cuckoo’s Calling, which was published in 2013, while the Dorm, was published in 2014. The Sunday Times confirmed that Rowling wrote the "The Cuckoo’s Calling."

“I was yearning to go back to the beginning of a writing career in this new genre, to work without hype or expectation and to receive totally unvarnished feedback. It was a fantastic experience and I only wish it could have gone on a little longer,” said Rowling in a statement.

Sphere confirmed the name Robert Galbraith was a pseudonym before Rowling was outed as thel one who wrote the crime novel. The publisher said that “after several years with the Royal Military Police, [the author] was attached to the Special Investigation Branch, the plain-clothes branch of the RMP.”
