From playing a suave sadist in "Fifty Shades of Grey" and a true-blue American hero in "Superman," Jamie Dornan got down and dirty for the WWII biopic, "Anthropoid."

On Monday, Jamie Dornan sported fake blood as he filmed scenes for the movie.

"Dressed in a dapper suit and riding a bicycle, Jamie seemed successful dodging a Nazi shooter in the historical drama," Daily Mail said.

"His brown hair short and curly, Jamie's style was appropriate for a man living in World War II-era Europe," it added. "A pin-striped, grey suit was worn over a vest, a dress shirt, and a grey-striped tie.

The synopsis for "Anthropoid" reads, "Based on the true story of two Czechoslovak soldiers sent to assassinate the head of the SS in 1941. SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich was the Reich's number three and main architect for the 'Final Solution.'"

In the film, "Fifty Shades of Grey" actor Jamie Dornan will play Jan Kubris, one of the two resistance fighters, with the other one being played by Cillian Murphy.

Talking to Variety, Jamie Dornan said of the film, "These were just normal guys who were fighting for something they fiercely believed in."

"A lot of that work, thankfully, is done for me on the page," he added. "All the human flaws and all the things that make him a tangible person, the everyman you can relate to are on the page, which is great."

"They're heroes in the sense of what they did, but very much on the page you see that they are flawed, and have very human aspects to them that would hinder trying to carry out an exercise like this," he continued.

"Anthropoid" is directed by Sean Ellis, who also penned the screenplay along with Anthony Frewin. Apart from "Fifty Shades of Grey" actor Jamie Dornan and "The Dark Night" cast Cillian Murphy, the other cast include Harry Lloyd, Toby Jones, Charlotte Le Bon, Sam Keeley,
