'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Cast Update: Will 'Dr. Mcdreamy' Be Back ForThe Season?
Recently, "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12's cast had been unveiled. The makers of the show had released a trailer stating that "everything has (/had) changed."
According to The Latin Post, "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 would not have fan-favorite Dr. Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey on the list. Their reports said that the released trailer of the show proved that the season would kick-off with "Dr. McDreamy," who had been hit by a "wayward truck" at the culmination of season 11.
But, the "Grey's Anatomy" show would "go on" for the other characters. In the first teaser for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 casts' leading lady Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo) said that "everything has changed."
US Magazine reported that in a "brief scene from the 20-second trailer," Meredith had rushed down "a hallway littered with toys" to find her new roommate, Jo Wilson (played by Camilla Luddington) making a "hole in the wall with a sledgehammer." While, another scene showed Maggie, Grey's half-sister (Kelly McCreary) throwing a punch at a blonde women at the hospital.
The absence of Dr. Derek Shepherd from "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 cast could be identified as the catalyst that changed the entire storyline of the upcoming season. Rumors are that a clash between Patrick Dempsey and creator Shonda Rhimes had led to "Dr. McDreamy's" death.
According to The Christian Post, the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12's premiere episode would be titled the sledge hammer. Reports stated that the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 cast would jump "into action to save the lives of two young girls whose powerful story will force some of the (Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital's) doctors to revisit the effects of bullying on their own pasts."
Reports said that "Chasing Amy" star Joey Lauren Adams would be joining "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 cast as Dr. Bailey's rival. Jackson, played by Jesse Williams and April played by Sarah Dew would also join the line-up for the 12th installment of "Grey's Anatomy."
Bustle.com reported that actress Izzie Stephens would not be a part of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 cast. She reportedly said that she was done with the story.
