'Twenty Again' Ratings Continue To Rise

Korean dramas that air on cable networks generally yield lower ratings than those are shown on major broadcast networks like KBS, MBC and SBS. "Twenty Again" continues to demonstrate its relevance as a beloved series, with the drama recording ratings beyond 6 percent for its September 19 episode.

According to the September 20 report from Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of tvN's "Twenty Again" recorded 6.27 percent in viewership. This is an increase of 1.31 from its previous episode. 

An article published by OSEN compared the ratings of "Twenty Again" with other successful dramas to air on tvN. The 2013 coming-of-age drama, "Reply 1994" premiered with ratings of 2.6 percent before concluding its 21-episode run with 11.9 percent. The popular 2014 office series, "Misaeng," concluded with ratings of 8.24 percent. 

OSEN also examined the recent supernatural series, "Oh My Ghost," which concluded with 7.34 percent in viewership. 

"Twenty Again" stars Choi Ji Woo as Ha No Ra, a 38-year-old housewife who abandons domesticity to pursue her dreams of completing college. Faced divorce procedures led by her professor husband, Kim Woo Chul (Choi Won Young), No Ra tackles the rigors of  academia.

In episode eight, No Ra declines an offer from Woo Chul to remain married if she drops out of school. Contrary to her previous actions, she points out his flaws and reminds him of his extramarital affair. No Ra proves that she is dedicated to her academic pursuits, stunning Woo Chul. 

No Ra makes peace with her high-school friend-turned-professor Cha Hyun Seok (Lee Sang Yoon), who begins to help with her quest to pursue part-time work. 

The episode culminates with a festival scene where No Ra takes the stage, dazzling Hyun Seok, Woo Chul and her son (Kim Min Jae), with her stellar dance moves.
