Yoon Eun Hye cancelled her appearance at the 20th Busan International Film Festival on October 1. "Red Eye," the short film that Yoon directed is being shown in the festival's Wide Angle - Short Film category and the actress/director was invited as a guest. However, Yoon decided not to attend in light of the publicity surrounding her recent plagiarism accusations.

Her agency Jarmy Entertainment, told the Korean media outlet Naver TV that Yoon, a former film major, was invited as a guest and had planned to attend. She previously attended the 2012 film festival because her first film "The Knitting" was entered in the Korea Short Film Competition.

"With the current situation, we decided not to attend."

The actress returned to Korea on September 18 after becoming involved in a plagiarism scandal concerning her appearance on the Chinese reality show "Goddess of Fashion."

She and her design partner received first place on an August 29 episode but then a designer accused them of stealing his design and calling it their own.

Arche designer Yoon Choon Ho commented on social media that the actress and her stylist borrowed a design from him and then said they made it. He posted photos of her design and the one he created for his fall-winter collection to show the similarities. According to the Korean media outlet Star News, Yoon Eun Hye denied that she received any work from the designer's fall-winter collection. Her representatives said that the design elements such the boxy cut of the dress and the frilly ruffled sleeves were merely trendy.

Later the head designer for the drama "Princess Hours," which Yoon starred in, stated on Twitter that shoes Yoon Eun Hye claimed to have designed were actually her design and she had documents and witnesses to prove it. Netizens also pointed out similarities between Yoon's other designs and those being shown by fashion lines BCBG and Dolce and Gabbana.

When reporters approached Yoon Eun Hye at the airport on her return to Korea, she refused to answer questions about the scandal.

The 20th Busan International Film Festival will take place from October 1 to 10 in Haeundae, Busan.

Yoon Eun Hye is known for her roles in the dramas "Princess Hours," "Coffee Prince," "Missing You" and "Marry Him If You Dare." She can be seen this year in the film "After Love" with co-star Park Shi Hoo.
