Netflix announces the release date of the much-awaited Korean reality dating show, "Single's Inferno 2."
Teasing fans with an intriguing poster, the streaming giant officially announced the premiere date on social media.
'Single's Inferno 2' Release Date
On Instagram, Netflix dropped the show's first official poster hinting at "hotter and more thrilling" moments.
Calling it "the hottest hell in the world," the reality dating show "Single's Inferno 2" will air on December 13.
Initially premiered in December 2021, Netflix released a Korean reality dating show consisting of 8 single and irresistible men and women living on a secluded island together.
They are forced to be self-sufficient and win tasks in order to experience the paradise where they are treated to a nice meal, stunning accommodations, and more for a night.
At the time, "Single's Inferno" became one of the most-watched tv shows on Netflix, ranking among the top 10 global shows in 17 countries.
Due to the huge success, Netflix announced the return of the Korean reality dating show in April 2022.
The streaming giant officially confirmed that the show will be renewed for another season releasing a teaser trailer, promising the viewers with a "hotter and sexier" season.
While officials are tight-lipped if there would be a returning cast from the past season, Netflix's Tudum mentioned that apart from having a new batch of sexy singles looking for love, "more contestants will be added to the lineup."
As for the location, there are some speculations that "Single's Inferno 2" will be filmed in the exact location as seen in season 1.
"We filmed on Saseungbong-do, an uninhabited island on the west coast of [South] Korea. It's very beautiful since nature remains untouched" Producer Kim Na Hyun previously explained to Netflix.
Meanwhile, the casting for the second season was much the same but producers revealed that there are "a lot of people who applied after seeing our recruitment posters."
In addition, the casting team also received recommendations from friends and acquaintances and also through PR teams in colleges and companies.
