Jang Nara seems set to play the female lead in the upcoming drama "Hello Monster," but which actor will play her leading man? Lee Jin Wook was originally considering the role before he signed on to play the lead in "The Time I Loved You, 7,000 Days" with Ha Ji Won. Now Seo In Guk is in talks about joining Jang Nara in the KBS drama.

His agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, told the Korean media outlet Naver TV, that he did receive a casting offer but that nothing was yet confirmed.

"Seo In Guk has received a casting offer and is in the final stages of reviewing the role," said the Jellyfish Entertainment representative.

Jang Nara will play a criminal investigator named Cha Ji An. She is hot on the trail of a dangerous criminal but her enthusiastic attempts at pursuit often leave her at odds with her fellow detectives. Seo In Guk is up for the role of a veteran criminal profiler. The two don't always agree about the best way to pursue criminals.  But since this drama is described as a romance thriller, their arguments will eventually help them realize that they are meant for each other. And maybe together they can finally catch their culprit.

Jang Nara has been on a winning drama streak. Her last drama was "Mr. Baek" and before that she starred in the romantic comedy "Fated To Love You" with Jang Hyuk. Seo In Guk's last dramas were the historical drama "The King's Face" and before that he appeared in the comedy "The King of High School Savvy" with Lee Ha Na and Lee Soo Hyuk.

According to his agency, SM Entertainment, EXO's D.O. is also considering a role in the drama. The last drama D.O. appeared in was also his debut drama. He won praise for his role as Jo In Sung's friend and delusion in "It's Okay, That's Love." D.O. is also in talks to appear in his first film "Pure Love."

Lee Chun Hee and Cheon Won Young are also in the running for roles in "Hello Monster."

Kwon Ki Young, who wrote "All About My Romance" and "Protect The Boss," will write the screenplay for "Hello Monster." Noh Sang Hoon, who directed "Queen of the Office," will direct the upcoming drama.

"Hello Monster" is expected to air after "Blood" and "Who Are You - School 2014" in June.
