Tom Cruise Wants To Leave Scientology Amid Upcoming Release Of Leah Remini's Book Against The Church?

"King of Queens" star Leah Remini is reportedly releasing a memoir that reveals a lot about her former church, Scientology, and its prominent members including Tom Cruise.

The actress talked about departing from Scientology when she walked away from the church in 2013.

According to her, family is one of the most significant reasons behind her departure.

"I didn't want to raise my daughter in the church because from what I experienced and what I saw, the church becomes everything, your mother, your father, your everything. You are dependent on the church," Leah Rimini told People, as quoted by Daily Mail.

"In 10 years, if I didn't want to be connected to the church anymore, my own daughter [Sophia] would be taught to disconnect from me. I didn't want to create that. I didn't think that would be healthy for her."

Leah's claim may be supported by another Hollywood actress who married into the church.

It could be recalled that Scientology was an issue that Katie Holmes allegedly put on the table when she filed for divorce from Tom Cruise.

"During a deposition in his court battle against a pair of magazines, Tom Cruise admitted that ex-wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce 'to protect Suri from Scientology,' according to court documents," ABC News reported in 2013.

Is Tom Cruise ready to leave the church in order to save his relationship with Suri Cruise, his 9-year-old daughter with Katie Holmes?

According to a report, Tom Cruise has purportedly realized how Scientology has been taking its toll on his personal relationships during his latest visit to Suri Cruise.

"Rumor has it that church leaders don't want Cruise seen publicly with his daughter because she's not being raised in the church," Celeb Dirty Laundry previously reported.

"Because Tom is in a leadership position, if he's seen flouting the rules, the Church of Scientology won't be able to as easily control their other followers/minions. So Tom has to either explain to daughter Suri why he can't be there or give the church the boot and stand by his kid."

Tom Cruise has yet to address the rumors surrounding Scientology.
