Lee Joon Gi continues to update fans with photos and video taken on the set of the zombie horror flick, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter."

On November 1, he shared a bloody-faced picture with model turned leading lady, Milla Jovovich, along with a caption that demonstrated his affection for the actress.

"Super thank you, Milla," said Lee, in the caption of his Instagram post. "My best of the best x 1000 actress, in the world. You are awesome."

Anticipation for the project grows as "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" marks the Hollywood debut for Lee, further solidifying his place as a Hallyu star. According to character descriptions, he portrays Commander Lee.

Lee experienced his breakout role as Gong Gil in the 2005 period film, "King and the Clown." He won over drama viewers with his portrayal of Seo Jung Woo, a conglomerate heir in the Hong Sisters' series, "My Girl." HIs subsequent project includes "Two Weeks," "Gunman in Joseon," and the recently completed supernatural period drama, "Scholar Who Walks the Night."

In "Scholar Who Walks the Night,' he exhibited a strong ability to capture the spooky essence of horror, as the vampiric scholar, Kim Sung Yeol.

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" marks the sixth installment in the popular science-fiction action franchise.

Milla Jovovich returns as Alice, the only survivor of the deadly encounter chronicled in "Resident Evil: Retribution." In the upcoming film, Alice returns to Raccoon City to face off against the Umbrella Corporation, an agency who is hell-bent on destroying humanity.

Based on a popular video game, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is scheduled to premiere in theaters in January 2017.
