Zayn Malik News: Disses One Direction, Sourgrapes After Solo Career Doesn't Take Off?

Zayn Malik may have dissed One Direction in an interview, according to the latest news.

In the interview, Zayn Malik dished out that how restricted he was in his music when he was part of One Direction.

"There was never any room for me to experiment creatively in the band," Zayn said, as quoted by Entertainment Weekly in a news report. "If I would sing a hook or a verse slightly R&B, or slightly myself, it would always be recorded 50 times until there was a straight version that was pop, generic as f-, so they could use that version."

Zayn Malik also revealed that his suggestions were allegedly not taken very seriously in the band.

"Whenever I would suggest something, it was like it didn't fit us. There was just a general conception that the management already had of what they want for the band, and I just wasn't convinced with what we were selling. I wasn't 100 percent behind the music. It wasn't me," Zayn added, as quoted in the news article.

There are speculations that Zayn Malik lmay be sourgraping as One Direction continues to soar high in popularity and earnings.

According to a previous news report, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan are allegedly cashing in on Zayn Malik's departure have purportedly been splitting his supposed piece of the bargain.

"They have entertained millions of fans with their shows and their final CD will be a monster hit with the group earning from sales revenues and royalties on the hits played."

"The merchandising with the final UK tour revenue will push their earnings each to well above $40 million. And of course all four guys are earning a cut of what would have been Zayn's share," the source revealed.

"No matter how you look at it Zayn is missing out on some huge paychecks for the final nine months of the band being together. He may be a multi-millionaire, but the types of figures that Liam, Louis, Niall and Harry are pulling in are very impressive."
