Han Ye Seul Happy On Her First Day Of Filming
"Madam Antoine," the romantic comedy about a fake fortune teller, had its first day of filming on December 14. The Korean media outlet My Daily visited the set on the first day and described the lighthearted mood of the comedy's star Han Ye Seul.
In the drama Han plays Ko Hye Rim, a woman who is professionally known as Madam Antoine. She's a fortune teller who says she can communicate with the famous French Queen Marie Antoinette. She may be a fake when it comes to the psychic stuff but she is good at figuring out what really bothers people and helping them find solutions.
"This is different from all the romantic comedies I've done," said Han in the My Daily report. "It's humanly realistic and Ko Hye Rim is very interesting."
Han enjoyed her first day of filming and her cheerful mood reportedly spread throughout the set.
Han, last seen in the romantic comedy "Birth of a Beauty", already demonstrates impressive chemistry with her co-star Sung Joon. Sung Joon plays Choi Soo Hyun, a respected psychologist with a following among Hollywood's stars. Choi is talented at understanding how past trauma influences the way a person acts in the present. But he does not understand how his own traumatic past prevents him from falling in love. These characters have something to offer each other. And they have a lot in common.
Madam Antoine takes part in a test given by Choi Soo Hyun. It's a test to prove that love does not exist, something Choi personally believes is true. But he may be wrong. And she may be the one to prove it to him.
Sung Joon, has lately become known as the King of Romantic Comedy, because of his roles in "High Society," "Discovery of Romance," and "I Need Romance 3." "Hong Jin Ah, who wrote "Future's Choice" and "King 2 Hearts" has written the screenplay for the drama.
Kim Yoo Cheol who directed "My Name Is Kim Sam Soon" and "Can We Marry?" will direct "Madam Antoine." He worked with Sung Joon in the drama "Can We Marry."
The drama will air in January.
