Kobe Bryant As Coach After Retirement? Not So Fast! Black Mamba Getting Better For Los Angeles Lakers

The final decision of whether or not Kobe Bryant will coach a team after his retirement from the Los Angeles Lakers isn't up to the Black Mamba.

It turned out that one of the greatest players in NBA history doesn't have the final word at home.

According to the latest news report from TMZ, if Kobe Bryant is going to decide to coach after his retirement, he would have to run it to wife Vanessa.

"We spoke with Monica (the singer) who's married to Kobe's ex-teammate Shannon Brown -- they're besties with the Bryants," the article said. "Monica told us she thinks it would be dope if Kobe took up the clipboard after the season wraps -- but ONLY if Vanessa's down to spend more of her life in basketball arenas."

TMZ also said that Vanessa isn't committing yet whether or not she allows Kobe Bryant to coach after retirement from Los Angeles Lakers.

Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant is playing his best so far this season for the Los Angeles Lakers in the last five games, and he achieved the feat by stepping away from his Black Mamba persona and play second or third fiddle to youngsters, Julius Randle and D'Angelo Surrell.

An analysis from fansite SilverScreenAndRoll said that the 26.9 usage rate of Kobe Bryant has dropped behind Russell's 27.6 and Randle's 27.2.

"Over the Lakers last 5 games, Bryant has actually lived these words, and in doing so has transformed from a possession devouring sarlacc into a useful NBA player, averaging 17.3 points on 47.4% shooting with 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists to boot," it said.

But the blogsite said that sustaining the momentum is all up to Kobe Bryant and whether he's willing to accept the role as the "secondary attacker."

Kobe Bryant announced his retirement from the Los Angeles Lakers after this season, which has been dubbed as the farewell tour for one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA.
