‘Terminator: Genisys’ Sequel Will Have Emilia Clarke Playing Sarah Connor Yet Again

The famous American sci-fi action movie, "Terminator: Genisys" is confirmed to have a sequel in the making, with Emilia Clarke joining the cast again as Sarah Connor. Dana Goldberg, the Skydance Media Chief Creative Officer, made the news official about the upcoming sequel in an interview at The Wrap's 6th Annual Media Leadership Conference.

"I wouldn't say on hold, so much as re-adjusting," said Goldberg. She added that studio will employ data and research "to do a worldwide study and really talk to audiences about what they loved, and what maybe didn't work for them, so that the next we take with the franchise is the right one," reported VENTURE CAPITAL POST.

Goldberg further declared that since the team will perform extensive research before going on with the production, the filming of "Terminator: Genisys" sequel is not on cards even in earlier next year. Hence, its projected release date during May 2017 may be delayed. "We are not going to begin production at the beginning of next year," said Goldberg, according to KpopStarz.

With star cast and the director of the sequel are yet to be confirmed, Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to make a come-back. Emilia Clarke, 29, who played Sarah Connor in "Terminator: Genisys," is surely joining the sequel team again as Connor. The actress has been fascinated with the Terminator movies since childhood and is pretty excited about being a part of the same once again.

"Terminator Genisys" made $90 million in domestic market and $350 million in international market. As per reports, "Terminator Genisys" out-beat Pixar's "Inside Out" in Blu-Ray Disc sales. The two films were competing neck to neck for the top position in the Blu-Ray Disc sales chart and overall disc sales chart.

While "Terminator Genisys" earned the first spot in Blu-Ray Disc sales, "Inside Out" made to the top in overall disc sales chart. Also, "Terminator: Genisys" topped in Home Media Magazine's video rental chart for the second week of November.
