‘The Mystery Housemaid’ Choi Ji Woo Motherly Love
Choi Ji Woo acted out motherly love which moved viewers. Through this drama, Choi Ji Woo is acting with children for the first time but it was unbelievable considering how natural it looked.
On the 12th episode of SBS Monday/Tuesday drama "The Mystery Housemaid" (Script Baek Woon Chul, Director Kim Hyung Shik) broadcast on October 28th, Park Bok Nyuh (played by Choi Ji Woo) showed a touching motherly love to the youngest Hye Gyul (played by Kang Ji Woo).
With the desperate asking of the four kids, Park Bok Nyuh went back to Sang Chul (played by Lee Sung Jae)'s house and was perfect at housework. Hye Gyul said he's help but ended up burning his hand on the oven. As soon as Hye Gyul had a burn, Park Bok Nyuh started running like crazy. She didn't even wear shoes but wasn't worried about being hurt as she ran to the hospital.
Park Bok Nyuh looked as if she were Hye Gyul's mother. With Hye Gyul in her arms, she couldn't keep her eyes off of him and was definitely like a mother. After getting treated at the hospital, Park Bok Nyuh finally relaxed after hearing that Hye Gyul's conditions weren't serious.
After returning home, Park Bok Nyuh read Hye Gyul a children's story as he asker her to be next to him. Park Bok Nyuh started talking in a warm tone and not like a robot which made viewers cry.
Now, Park Bok Nyuh's face was filled with concerns and anxiety as well as a sense of protection like a mother. In the past, she had no expression on her face regardless of what the kids asked and what kind of risky obstacle they faced. However, Park Bok Nyuh changed. Her expressions changed with one word of the kids and started to get more interested in the four kids and their mannerisms.
The reason this change of Park Bok Nyuh really touched viewers is because Choi Ji Woo's attention to detail in her acting was the basis. Park Bok Nyuh's character isn't one where a change in charater would be clearly seen but she clearly expressed the changes between the expression-like sie of her before leaving the house and after returning to Eun Sang Chul's house. The motherly love was especially real and viewers were touched.
Choi Ji Woo is working with kids for the first time after debuting in "The Mystery Housemaid." However, it's as if she's very experienced as her maternal acting is very natural and therefore, viewers are looking forward to her acting with the four kids.
