"Rugal" Recap: The First Mission

The Rugal team is on a new mission to steal a van full of money from syndicate leader Yong Deok. This will be Kang Gi Beum's first project with the team after his operation. 

The following day, the Rugal team went to Yong Doek's wedding reception. They needed to pass the guarded entrance going to the basement. Yong Doek married his young wife Choe Ye Won. It was also the day wherein Yong Doek planned to kill Hwang Deuk Goo. His wife Choe Ye Won disliked his presence and she felt that Deuk Goo will soon take over the company. Deuk Goo is quick to know that Yong Doek plotted to kill him. In the place where the men attacked Deuk Goo, he was good at taking all the men down. He went back to the reception area with silent anger. 

Meanwhile, Mi Na and Tae Woong got hold of the van with bundles of money inside. They escaped the place in precise steps. Kang Gi Beum was assigned to watch the exit area, but he saw the man who killed his wife and knocked him down. He saw his face before his eyeballs were taken out.

Using the motorcycle Kang Gi Beum followed the man. The man hurriedly drove his car going out of the building. Kang Gi Beum hit the car with his motorcycle. He dragged the man outside the car and started to punch him down. Mi Na saw Kang Gi Beum and tried to pull him away. Tae Woong with his strong hands hit Kang Gi Baum's head and put him to sleep. 

Inside the reception area, Deuk Goo approached Yong Doek and told him that his money was stolen. Yong Doek was furious to hear the news. He went out, took a car and drove by himself. He wanted to follow the van, which Tae Woong maneuvered fast on the highway. While driving the car, Yong Deok lost control of the steering wheel. His car crashed along the barriers of the road.

In no time the police arrived and took his body out of the car window. They placed him inside a body bag and kept him in the trunk. The men replaced another dead body inside the car and poured gasoline the whole area and blew it off. Deuk Goo planned everything to kill Yong Doek instead. 

The team arrived at the headquarters. They locked Gi Beum inside his room. Geun Cheol advised the team to let Gi Beum rest. He will wait until Gi Beum is mentally prepared to start over again. Inside his room, Gi Beum in hallucination saw his dead wife. He cried hard that she died because of him.

After a few days, Gi Beum told Geun Cheol he wanted to start training again. Mi Na, Tae Woong, and Gwang Cheol helped him with the training. Everyone saw how strong and determined Gi Beum already. He improved  his skills and focused on working with the team. 

Since Yong Doek died, Ye-Won inherited the assets of her late husband. Threatened by Deuk Goo, she made him the man in charge of the whole operation of the company. Deuk Goo investigated the man Gi Beum beat the other night. He checked the recording camera and recognized Gi Beum's profile. He is now in the quest to find Gi Beum and destroy the Rugal team.
