"Rugal" Recap: Kang Gi Beum Meets The Mastermind Hwang Deuk Goo

The team brought the dead body of one AI agent in the recent episode of Rugal. Kang Gi Beum is curious to know how one man can terminate himself. They asked help from Dr. Oh's team of experts. The agent implanted a chip in his brain to calculate his moves. Choi Geun Cheol and his team met to discuss who is behind the kidnapping of famous athletes who are used as agents by Argos.

Han Tae Woong and Lee Gwang Cheol were assigned to check the facilities of the Argos leaders and found out that they are involved in money laundering. Geun Cheol instructed the team to make Bong Man Cheol and Hwang Deuk Goo fight for transporting large amounts without his knowledge.

Choi Ye Won visited Man Cheol's building to discuss business transactions and allies, but his men stopped her. Gi Beum witnessed the men gathered up to attack Ye Won. He barged in to protect her. Ye Won was surprised by Gi Beum's presence. She thanked him and gave him a card. Then, Deuk Goo discovered Man Cheol's activities behind his back. He visited Man Cheol's building and took the money with him.

Meanwhile, in Rugal's headquarters, Bradley (the technical specialist) checked Gi Beum's planted eyes and taught him new advanced features no one knew about. Gi Beum's artificial eyes can record video and accept commands initiated by Gi Beum. Bradley also teased Gi Beum about meeting the pretty Ye Won and protecting her, but he said it was nothing personal.

Gi Beum practiced more with his fighting skills. Mi Na came in to be his opponent with handling new fighting techniques. She is amazed by Gi Beum's excellent performance since their last practice. 

Geun Cheol received a case mission from the headquarters. A government official who exposed the illegal transactions of Argos is on the list to be kidnapped and terminated by Deuk Goo's men. Geun Cheol called the Rugal team on a mission to save the man's family. 

The team followed the official from their house with his wife and children. Argos men appeared from the highway with a big trailer. They abducted the official's family and took him to an abandoned area. Just in time, the Rugal team came in to stop the kidnappers and saved the family from death.  

A secret laboratory facility handled by a kidnapped doctor tested human bodies for mechanical implants. Deuk Goo owned the project and forced the scientist doctor to make all artificial humans function. Many bodies were terminated since they weren't successful. Deuk Goo is impatient with the outcome. He gives a threat to the doctors to work before they soon die. 

Bradley assisted Gi Beum's request to activate the sensor from one of Deuk Goo's men. They enabled it to find the mastermind. As the sensor reactivated, it sent a signal to Deuk Goo's watch. Gi Beum located his address and went out to find him. Geun Cheol found out about Gi Beum's quest through Bradley. He sent Song Mi Na, Tae Woong, and Gwan Cheol to get Gi Beum back and capture Deuk Goo alive. 

Deuk Goo met Gi Beum in his building facility. They exchanged bouts until Gi Beum took out his gun to kill Deuk Goo. Gi Beum turned off his earpiece and eye camera so that headquarters will not see his next plan. Geun Cheol instructed Bradley to turn off Gi Beum's mind. Gi Beum fell to the ground when all his sensors went off, making Deuk Goo escape.
