[UPDATE] These 13 Korean Actresses Bravely Admitted They Had Plastic Surgery
In South Korea, undergoing double eyelid surgery is prevalent, especially among the youth. In fact, several celebrities have gone under the knife to enhance their looks.
Not all admit getting the procedure, though. They prefer to keep it private, but there are some Korean actresses who bravely admitted and were not shy to let the world know they had plastic surgery.
Park Min Young
Park Min Young rose to fame for her role in historical-romance drama, "Sungkyunkwan Scandal." As her popularity was increasing, her old photos circulated on the web, fueling speculations she had plastic surgery.
To put an end to the theories once and for all, Park Min Young revealed to Sports Chosun in 2010:
"I'm not going to say that I have something I don't have, and that I don't have something I do have. I did have plastic surgery. I got double eyelid surgery in junior high school. My mom let me get it so I could become prettier. I also got my nose done, but that's only because my nose was crooked during junior high."
Lee Da Hae
Byun Dahye, prominently known as Lee Da Hae, is the 71st Miss Chunhyang Pageant in 2001. Since then, she began appearing in dramas as a supporting character.
Eventually, she rose to fame when she played the lead roles in "My Girl," "Hello! Miss" and many more.

The actress had previously admitted she had some procedures done on her face, including double eyelid surgery.
Park Han Byul
Park Han Byul became an online celebrity due to her resemblance to A-list actress Jun Ji Hyun after she posted photos of herself online. She is best known for her roles in "I Have a Lover" with Kim Hyun Joo and Ji Jin Hee, and in "Love in Sadness" with Ji Hyun Woo and Ryu Soo Young.
In 2015, during the broadcast of the variety-survival program "Law of the Jungle," Park Han Byul admitted she went under the knife.
Hong Soo Ah
Hong Soo Ah is known for her early roles in the sitcom "Nonstop," and was later on nicknamed "Hong Throw" after making a skillful ceremonial first pitch at a Doosan Bears game in 2005.
In 2021 through an interview with Xports News, the actress revealed to the public she had done procedures on her face, saying:
"I have never regretted my plastic surgery decisions."
Kim Nam Joo
Kim Nam Joo does not feel ashamed that she had facial reconstruction.
In 2018, the "Misty" star admitted getting plastic surgery, saying:
"I never thought that plastic surgery is an ugly thing and I don't think it needs to be covered up. I don't lie, I don't want to lie, it's better to admit it than to be exposed."
Lee Si Young
Lee Si Young, a former amateur boxer, is known for her role as the tough lady firefighter in the thriller series "Sweet Home," alongside Lee Do Hyun, Song Kang, Go Min Si, and more. She currently stars in the sci-fi web drama, "Grid," with Seo Kang Joon.

In 2013, the versatile star admitted through MBC's "Golden Fishery-Radio Star" she got plastic surgery when she was younger.
"After the surgery at the age of 23, I have never gone back in ten years to get more done."
Min Hyo Rin
BIGBANG's Taeyang's wife, Min Hyo Rin, is known for her roles in the hit coming-of-age film "Sunny," "Persevere, Goo Hae Ra," and "The Happy Lonely."
In 2012, the actress admitted to getting plastic surgery through her appearance on the "One Night TV Entertainment." There, she was asked about her perfect nose that was drawing speculations of having done through surgery.
Min Hyo Rin responded:
"I swear to god, I didn't get any plastic surgery on my nose. It's the way my parents gave me. I've got an X-ray picture to prove that. I didn't get a nose job. I got my eyelids done, but my nose is all natural."
Uee
Uee is not ashamed to admit she had double eyelid surgery before her debut. In fact, in 2011, even the "Ghost Doctor" star's sister was brave enough to reveal this through an episode of SBS' "Sweet Home Town Visit, Dal Go Na," saying:
"Uee was pretty since she was little. The only plastic surgery Uee had done was the double eyelid surgery. Uee was popular as being one an ulzzang at Incheon Sports High School."
Song Ji Ah
Song Ji Ah is a breakout star of Netflix's "Single's Inferno". She admitted to having cosmetic surgery done on her nose during her junior year in high school.
Koo Hara
Koo Hara, a member of the K-pop group Kara and had also appeared in television dramas including City Hunter in 2011, admitted to having double eyelid surgery, also known as ptosis correction surgery.
Yewon
Yewon, whose real name is Kim Ye-won, is a South Korean actress, singer, and entertainer. She was a member of the K-pop girl group Jewelry from 2011 until it disbanded in 2015. Alongside her singing career, she appeared on television in dramas, sitcoms, and variety shows. She admitted to having minor work done on her nose.
Park Bo Young
Park Bo Young, known for her youthful appearance, clarified that her looks are not the result of plastic surgery but due to professional makeup.
