Award-winning magazine #legend photographed actor and Asian heartthrob Jasper Liu for their October cover, fully styled in the Kingsman Collection by Mr Porter.

The star of reality Netflix series Twogether and hit television series Before We Get Married and Triad Princess talks to #legend about everything from his past decade in entertainment, his acting journey, releasing his first EP to his vulnerabilities and more.

The actor talked about his signature boyfriend roles, saying, "Since I play a lot of boyfriend roles, I differentiate each of them by finding one distinct characteristic that makes them stand out and focus on that."

Jasper Liu also reflected on his first steps into acting: "When I first started acting, it was pretty tough. Directors would even ask me if I was confused. I lost a lot of self-confidence because I didn't know how to convey my character properly."

On extricating himself from his character off-set, the heartthrob shared, "Stepping out of character is easier to do now, but when I was in More than Blue, both being in and out of character was rather tough for me."

Speaking of vulnerability, he said, "Feeling secure is very important to me. Although I've been in the industry for 10 years, I still get nervous whenever I start a new movie, because it means filming in an entirely new environment."

Jasper Liu also shared how he spends his downtime, saying, "Now I tend to spend more time in the mountains or by the sea. Nature brings a lot of peace to me and makes me feel safe."

When he talked about his first EP, Jasper Liu stated, "Singing is really different from acting. In a movie, you can use  different editing tools and background music. The interaction between actors helps create  a certain atmosphere and a certain message. But when it comes to singing, it's just me -  and I have to express all my emotions in three short minutes."

Jasper Liu then talked about his own legends: "[My parents] are really supportive of my career and they're probably the first ones to see my work."
