Kim Min Seok Bravely Shares About the Time he Caught Someone Filming Women with a Hidden Camera
On the previous episode of the Korean variety show "Knowing Brothers," Kim Min Seok shared about his recent heroic act.
Together with his co-stars Ji Chang Wook and Ryoo Kyung Soo in the upcoming romantic drama "City Couple's way of Love," the actor appeared as a guest on the Dec. 19 episode of JTBC's show "Knowing Brothers."
In one of its segments "Ask Us Anything," Kim Min Seok shared about his heroic deed from earlier this year. Back in July, it was reported in different Korean media outlets the incident that happened where the actor caught someone secretly filming a woman's legs and body in a cafe without her knowledge.
One of the cast, Min Kyung Hoon shared, "There was a time when I was reading articles about Kim Min Seok from after his military discharge, and there was a specific topic that really took me by surprise. Is it true that you found a hidden-camera?"
Actor Kim Min Seok answered, "Yes, I did catch someone filming illegally. Those were the days that I was on the last day of my final military leave. I visited one of my friend's coffee shop, and one of the friends that I was with said, 'someone over there is doing something wrong, he is secretly filming other people, so I then asked my friend to check from behind if that suspect was really filming. When my friend gave me the signal that guy we suspected was doing an illegal act, we decided to do something about it."
The 30-year-old actor continued, "Me and my friend urgently took the phone from him and investigated if there were photos. But there were no files on his phone." Kim Min Seok also said that they can't believe what was happening and they even looked for more evidence that will justify that the guy was doing something odd.
"We did not know what was happening, the files were gone. But we did not stop, we looked thoroughly through the phone, and we found hundreds of illegally taken photos in his hidden files."
He went on explaining more, "We found out that the guy had filmed all of the women who were in that cafe at that same day. Parts of their body including lips, and ears were particularly captured. We called the police and told them what happened and after some further investigations they already took him."
Kim Min Seok also confessed that he felt uncomfortable about the attention of the people that the incident had brought him. But he quickly expressed that it was just the right thing to do, "I did what was obviously the right thing to do, but some of the stories came out that I had beaten up the criminal and caught him using physical force as if I looked like a fighter for justice."
With all the confessions that he had shared, the "Knowing Brothers" cast members praised Kim Min Seok and reassured him that what he did was truly a heroic and amazing act.
Kim Min Seok is not afraid to give justice to the people who deserve it, his courageous act saved a lot of people.
Meanwhile, his upcoming drama "City Couple's Way of Love" also starring Ji Chang Wook, Kim Ji Won, So Ju Yeon, Han Ji Eun, and Ryoo Kyung Soo will finally premiere on Dec. 22 that can be watched on Kakao TV and Netflix!
