‘Vincenzo’ Starring Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeon Bin, and 2PM Taecyeon Holds Its First Script Reading
It's only January, but there are already way too many new K-dramas everyone needs to look out for! One of the upcoming series that's trending online, "Vincenzo," already had its first script reading.
On Jan. 5, tvN's forthcoming series "Vincenzo" unveiled photos of its first-ever script reading together with its cast! The series's story will revolve around a lawyer and Italian Mafia named Vincenzo Cassano, who moved back to Korea after a conflict occurred within his company. After he arrived in Korea, he joins forces with Hong Cha Young, a strong veteran lawyer, whose goal is to take down criminals using his nefarious methods. It will be a story of dark heroes who get rid of villains who cannot be touched by the law using sinful methods.
Present at the event was Kim Hee-Won, who will be directing the drama, and writer Park Jae Bum. The cast also attended the script reading, including Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, 2PM's Taecyeon, Yoo Jae Myung, Kwak Dong Yeon, Kim Yeo Jin, and Jo Han Chul.
Returning on the small screen is actor Song Joong Ki who will be playing the lead role of Vincenzo. As expected, he already made a good impression during the script reading. His diverse acting showed both his character's personality and passion as he is the dark hero who will eliminate the modern-day villains in Korean society. He will also be involved with the residents of Geumga Plaza.
Jeon Yeo Bin is Hong Cha Young, a lawyer who thinks of the advantages and disadvantages rather than the good and evil. She is also a straightforward person.
Jang Joon Woo will be played by Taecyeon. He is a clumsy and handsome intern lawyer who is from abroad and with a goal of being Hong Cha Young's version of James Bond.
Actor Yoo Jae Myung will play the role of Hong Cha Young's father named Hong Yoo Chan, who happens to be a lawyer also. He has his own law firm that gives power to those who need it, like the Geumga Plaza residents. Yoon Byung He is Nam Joo Sung, a manager working at his (Hong Yoo Chan) law firm and his right-hand man. Another lawyer who is a former prosecutor will be played by Kim Yeo Jin as Choi Myung Hee.
"My ID is Gangnam Beauty" star Kwak Dong Yeon will also star as Jang Han Seo, the president of Babel Group. He is a villain who loves to win and uses tyranny and abuses power to get what he wants. He is a man who has no sense of conscience.
Jo Han Chul will be portraying Han Seung Hyuk's character, a lawyer at Korea's top law firm and the person in charge of cleaning up Babe Group's problems.
This will be an exciting drama that will surely be a massive hit. This also marks the return of Song Joong Ki on the Korean drama scene.
Meanwhile, "Vincenzo" is scheduled to premiere in February.
