'Money Heist' Korean Adaptation Postpones Filming after One Cast Came in Close Contact with Covid-19 Positive
The production of the Korean adaptation "Money Heist" halts its filming session due to the COVID-19 scare.
According to Xports News, it came after one cast member came in close contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus.
Due to this, the team has decided to postpone filming to abide by the health protocols and for the safety of everyone.
To recall, multiple reports noted that Netflix's "Money Heist" Korean remake began filming after confirming the lineup of the cast back in March.
The upcoming heist drama is the latest series who postponed their production due to the widespread virus.
Just recently, Song Joong Ki's movie "Bogota" delayed filming after the actor came in close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19.
With this, movie distributor Megabox Plus M shared that they will not resume until all the cast members have completed self-quarantine.
Luckily the South Korean heartthrob tested negative from coronavirus but is still undergoing self-isolation.
Despite the update on the Korean remake "Money Heist," let's get to know more about the cast, release, and the team behind the highly anticipated adaptation.

Korean Remake "Money Heist" Cast
In 2020 Netflix Korea announced that they would be releasing a local adaptation of the hit Spanish crime drama.
Months later, the streaming giant unveiled the complete lineup of its star-studded cast that includes a slew of remarkable actors.
Leading the cast is the accomplished director, screenwriter, and renowned actor Yoo Ji Tae as the Professor.
Interestingly, the gang members will be led by the Professor's brother Berlin, portrayed by Park Hae Soo, while the role of Tokyo is given to Jeon Jong Seo.
The father and son tandem of Moscow and Denver will be portrayed by veteran actor Lee Won Jong and "Flower Evil's" Kim Ji Hoon.
In addition, the "Money Heist" cast also includes Jang Yoon Ju as Nairobi, Kim Ji Hoon, and Lee Gyu Ho, playing cousins Helsinki and Oslo, while Lee Hyun Woo will be the resident IT specialist, Rio.
"Money Heist" will not be complete without the task force team headed by Seon Woo Jin, played by Korean-American actress Kim Yoon Jin alongside Kim Sung Oh as Cha Moo-hyuk.
Money Heist Korean Adaptation Director, Writer, and Production
Aside from the powerhouse cast, the Korean remake "Money heist" is helmed by the renowned director Kim Hong Seon whose famous works includes "Voice," "The Guest," and the upcoming film "Broker."
In addition, the forthcoming K-drama is penned by "My Holo Love" screenwriter Ryu Yong Jae and will be under Entertainment and production companies BH Entertainment and Zium Content.
This will have a total of 12 episodes and be exclusively released on Netflix.
Although Netflix did not reveal more about the plot, it is safe to say that the storyline will follow the original structure, possibly undertaking the heist that happened in the Royal Mint of Spain and the Bank of Spain.
