‘One Ordinary Day’ Lays Down Prime Suspects in the Crime—Is Kim Soo Hyun the Real Culprit?
Coupang Play's crime drama starring Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won follows the story of a regular college student, Kim Hyun Soo (Kim Soo Hyun), who gets accused of a harrowing murder overnight. Together with Shin Jung Han (Cha Seung Won), he tries to survive to prove his innocence.
However, the evidence and clues that show up in investigations point to the poor Kim Hyun Soo. Did he really murder Hong Guk Hwa (Hwang Se On)?

1. Eye Witness Yoo Seung Hoon (Lee Soo Kwang)
The first suspect in the list is Yoo Seung Hoon, the person who saw Kim Hyun Soo enter and exit Hong Guk Hwa's house.
After being suspicious of Kim Hyun Soo the night before the murder, he wandered in front of Hong Guk Hwa's house.
The following day, he came to Hong Guk Hwa's house again, and without hesitation pointed out Kim Hyun Soo in front of the detective, giving him a suspicious feeling.
2. Reporter No Seok Han (Park Bong Seo)
The second person to be suspected is news reporter No Seok Han who came to the crime scene through breaking and entering. When the police misunderstood his news report, No Seok Han drew attention to Kim Hyun Soo, claiming that he was the man who left Hong Guk Hwa's house by riding his taxi.
3. Hong Guk Hwa's Stepfather Jo Kang Pil (Shin Woo Chul)
When the news of Hong Guk Hwa's death broke out, her stepfather Jo Kang Pil hardly blinked and never changed his expression, which made him a strong suspect.

Jo Kang Pil showed an expressionless face by himself during his stepdaughter's funeral, as if they had no relations at all. Although he participated in Kim Hyun Soo's trial, he never showed interest in the case.
4. Hong Guk Hwa's Roommate Yoon Hyo Jung (Na Eun Sam)
At Hong Guk Hwa's funeral, Yoon Hyo Jung shed a lot of tears. However, she showed no alibi when she was interrogated about her whereabouts.
She also showed an uneasy attitude while secretly observing the murder scene, because she had a big fight with Hong Guk Hwa right before the hideous incident.
5. Hong Guk Hwa's Ex-Lover Ki Jong Eom (Lee Poong Woon)
Hong Guk Hwa's ex-boyfriend, Ki Jong Eom, and her best friend and roommate Hyo Jung give a free pass in distributing illegal medicine to the victim for her disordered sleeping. They were also the ones Hong Guk Hwa spoke to before she was murdered. However, their call didn't appear in her call logs, which intensifies curiosity.
6. Delivery Drive Lee Cheol Ho (Hwang Sang Kyung)
Lee Cheol Ho was caught on CCTV while tailing Kim Hyun Soo from Han River to Hong Guk Hwa's house the night before the murder. In the footage, Lee Cheol Ho was found staring intently at Hong Guk Hwa with rage and eagerness in his eyes.
7. Taxi Driver Kim Hyun Soo
Kim Hyun Soo cried for his innocence during his trial, and expressed his desire to appeal. However, a memory of him during the on-site inspection in the murder scene, the figure of Kim Hyun Soo stabbing someone with a knife appeared.

Because of this, he suddenly collapsed. When he was asked if he killed Hong Guk Hwa or not, he was confused and scared.
