These Korean actresses always mesmerize the viewers with their duality. Apart from their performances in various on-screen projects, IU, Han So Hee, and more female stars always look gorgeous on screen. In fact, their visuals shine even without makeup.
In a fast-paced industry like Hallyu, where beauty standards are high, it is difficult for some artists to show their bare faces on screen. However, some actresses were lauded for their superior visuals, even acting in dramas and movies without makeup.
1. IU
One of South Korea's national treasures, IU has become a household name in the Korean Entertainment industry. Everywhere she appears, fans are always in awe of her natural beauty. May it be on selfies, YouTube vlogs, or dramas, the singer-actress remains superior in the eyes of many.
In one of her series, "My Mister," IU skipped the makeup as she played the role of Ji An, a lady who has no interest in dressing herself due to her busy life as a part-time worker from day to night. She did most of her scenes bared-face but perfectly executed her role. IU's dry and cold eyes didn't affect how good-looking she was on cam.
2. Han So Hee
Since she starred in JTBC's "In The World of the Married," Han So Hee has become the crowd's favorite. Her pristine yet elegant visuals always receive compliments from viewers. That's why when she led the Netflix original series "My Name" and portrayed the character of Ji Wo, enthusiastic reviews and praises poured out for So Hee.
As it was an action drama, Han So Hee decided not to wear makeup while doing the project. She decided to skip the cosmetics so that the drama would be more realistic, and people could see the raw personality of her character as Ji Woo.
3. Seo Hyun Jin
The ever-talented and brilliant actress Seo Hyun Jin also entered the list. Because, why not! She's been in the industry for years and seeing her bare face combined with her high-caliber acting made viewers turn their heads. She definitely has massive stage presence!
Earlier this year, Hyun Jin starred in the movie "Cassiopeia." She immersed herself in the character of Soo Jin, an Alzheimer's patient. According to the actress, it would be weird if she wore makeup since her character has an illness. She added that it would look more raw if she filmed her bare face, and so she did.
4. Lee Joo Bin
Lee Joo Bin once again became the center of attraction after she appeared in Netflix's "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area." She took the role of Yoon Mi Seon, who is an employee in charge of accounting at the Mint.

Many were surprised after the female star confessed that she put aside her appearance and did the drama without makeup. Lee Joo Bin explained that she was told not to wear makeup, so she just put on light makeup in the first scene. However, as she sweated during the filming, she finally decided to go bare-faced and still received praise from the viewers.
5. Han Ji Min
In 2018, Han Ji Min appeared in the film "Miss Baek." It was then revealed that the actress didn't apply even basic makeup throughout the filming days. She commented that she wanted to express Baek Sang Ah's character realistically and naturally, so Ji Min revealed the dark circles on her skin and exceeded more effort to deliver her character well.
6. Suzy
All K-drama fans already know that Suzy is one of the Korean star goddesses. With or without makeup, the singer-actress leaves everyone speechless with her beautiful face. In her debut movie "Architecture 101" the "Anna" lead star didn't even put any single layer of BB cream on her face.
Even in her previous series, "While You Were Sleeping," "Uncontrollably Fond," "Vagabond," "Anna," and more, Suzy had scenes where she didn't have any makeup on and yet exhibited a strong presence on screen.
