Since Jung Chul Min departed from the program in 2020, Choi Bo Pil returned and took over "Running Man" as the main PD. The show's fans and viewers enjoyed watching the close bond between Mr. Choi and the "Running Man" mainstays Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, HaHa, Jeon So Min, and Yang Se Chan.

Regarding his departure, SBS stated that Choi Bo Pil would work on a new project with the company soon. On the other hand, Choi Hyung In is expected to take over the show as the main program director starting August 1.

Meanwhile, the "Running Man" team delivered their farewell message to the former program head. On August 1, the actress and one of the cast members, Song Ji Hyo, shared photos on Instagram of the banner made by the crew to celebrate Choi Bo Pil's last day in the show. The "Princess Hours" star captioned her post with "Dear beloved Bo Pil! You worked hard running with us all these years!"
'Running Man' Pens Apology Letter for the Disabled Parking Violations
In the episode broadcast last July 31, the "Running Man" team was under fire after violating disabled parking. However, on August 1, the production immediately released an apology letter posted on their Instagram.
According to their statement, they confirmed that their staff owned the vehicle parked in disabled parking. In addition, the team has rented the entire building of the Seoul rock climbing center to ensure the safety of everyone while filming.
They apologized for the team's mistake and promised to be more careful when producing content in the future.
"Running Man" runs every Sunday at 5 p.m. (KST) on SBS.
