As tvN gears up for the much-awaited return of Kim Hye Soo in the small screen, the network has been teasing viewers with intriguing still cuts, showcasing Queen Im Hwa Ryeong's personality as a royal and mother.
To become a royal, one must have learned the basic protocols in the palace as well as had special education.
The royal wives featuring Queen Im Hwa Ryeong, along with the King's mother, Queen Dowager, played by veteran actress Kim Hae Sook and Royal Consort Hwang, portrayed by Ok Ja Yeon, illustrate various ways to receive a top-notch education.
As seen in the photos, Queen Dowager and Royal Consort Hwang were joined by a palace staffer as they learn the ins and outs of becoming a royal wife.

However, Queen Im Hwa Ryeong learns by herself along with the pile of books.

Joseon's King Lee Ho is played by Choi Won Young while his sons and the future king and the crown prince will be played by Moon Sang Min as Prince Seong Nam, SF9's Chani as Prince Ui Seong, and Yoo Seon Ho as Prince Gye Sung.
Set to be released on October 15 at 9:10 p.m. KST, "The Queen's Umbrella" airs every Saturday and Sunday.

As obtained by a media outlet, Kim Hye Soo shared her thoughts about her comeback K-drama.
At the script reading, the award-winning actress mentioned what to expect in her role as the Queen and at the same time, guiding her sons to be future royals.
"Although the time period in the drama is fictional, [Hwa Ryung] is the busiest queen, busiest mother, and the most fierce and active woman of that generation," she said.
On the other hand, Kim Hye Soo also explained why she chose to star in "The Queen's Umbrella."
For the actress, she finds the script "simple yet fun."
