A new series awaits Lee Sang Yeob for 2023. Star News announced on October 18 that Lee Sang Yeob is booked to lead the sports drama "Pure Boxer" (working title), alongside Kim So Hye. They are expected to captivate viewers by portraying a match-fixing escape between people who want to be forgotten and those who must lose.
KBS2 will produce the drama. Kim Min Ju will pen "Pure Boxer," while Choi Sang Yeol and Hong Eun Min are joining forces to helm the project.

The sports drama "Pure Boxer" depicts the story of a boxing genius Lee Kwon Sook and a cold-blooded agent who makes games to earn money for his players. The story is said to have originated from Lee Kwon Sook's novel of the same name.
