‘Reborn Rich’ Director Hints at Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min’s Intense Showdown in the Drama

"Reborn Rich" director Jeong Dae Yun dishes on what to expect in the highly anticipated K-drama featuring Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and more.

After officials revealed the cast lineup, viewers are patiently waiting for the release of the JTBC series as the network dropped intriguing teasers, enticing fans with a puzzling storyline and the synergy among the cast members.

"Reborn Rich," also known as "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate," focuses on the journey of a loyal employee named Yoon Hyun Woo, who works under Sunyang group for more than a decade. He is a devoted employee who will do anything for the company. Unfortunately, his loyalty is repaid by cruelty after he was framed for embezzlement.

However, he was mysteriously reborn as the chaebol's son, Jin Do Joon, and the grandson of Sunyang Group's chairman, Jin Yang Chul.

Song Joong Ki plays the dual role of Yoon Hyun Woo, who lived as Jin Do Joon in his second life. Meanwhile, Sunyang Group's chairman, Jin Yang Chul is played by the veteran actor Lee Sung Min.

During the "Reborn Rich" director's interview, he hinted about the highlights of the upcoming drama as well as the chemistry between the cast members.

'Reborn Rich' Director on Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min's Synergy

Director Jeong Dae Yun revealed the key points that viewers should look forward to in the forthcoming revenge series. One of it's the chemistry between lead stars Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and Shin Hyun Bin.

Hinting at the intense showdown between two amazing actors, the "Reborn Rich" director says that they "realistically brought to life the unfamiliar and fresh material" of the K-drama through their "heavy acting."

As obtained by a media outlet, the filmmaker also pointed out that Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min will surprise viewers with "strong ensembles" of their characters.

In addition, the duo will also showcase great chemistry with fellow stars. From Park Hyuk Kwon who gets entangled with Song Joong Ki's role and rookie actor, Girls Generation's Tiffany.

"Reborn Rich" director says that the Girls' Generation's member, flaunted her serious and comedic side which made her perfect for the character.

As for fellow lead star Shin Hyun Bin, Director Jeong Dae Yun says "the tightrope of emotion shown by the duo is another point to watch."

Apart from the mentioned cast members, a roster of talented stars are joining the upcoming series.

The "Reborn Rich" cast also includes Yoon Je Moon, Kim Jung Nan, Seo Jae Hee, Kim Young Jae, "Hellbound" actress Kim Shin Rok, Kim Nam Hee from "the Law Cafe" and more.

Interestingly, Song Joong Ki is reunited with "Vincenzo" co-star Jo Han Chul as he plays Jin Dong Ki, one of the sons of Sunyang Group's chairman.

When & Where to Watch 'Reborn Rich'?

Song Joong Ki's new drama, "Reborn Rich" is scheduled to air on November 18, with broadcast every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Interestingly, the 16-part episode K-drama is slated to air on JTBC as well as Viki, Viu TV, and Netflix Korea.
