'Reborn Rich' Achieves Massive Success During Pilot Week
Debuting with high viewership ratings, JTBC's "Reborn Rich" made a successful premiere. But not just that, apart from the hot responses it continues to receive from the masses in Korea, the drama also proves its popularity in the global scene.
In a news article cited by a media outlet on November 24, Song Joong Ki's newest series "Reborn Rich" ranked No. 1 in more than 50 countries around the world, including the United States, Britain, and Brazil.
According to global streaming platform Rakuten Viki, the revenge drama swept the top spot in various countries on five continents, including the U.S. Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and India as of November 23.

As most of the other countries currently in service have succeeded in charting at the top, the enthusiastic response to the ongoing drama "Reborn Rich" is expected to gradually double over time.
Song Joong Ki's Global Popularity Continues
In addition, officials from the mentioned streaming platform analyzed that Song Joong Ki's power is inevitable. He has high popularity and awareness among global viewers since he played major roles in megahit series, such as "Descendants of the Sun" and "Sungkyunkwan Scandal."
"Reborn Rich" seems to have joined the already heated overseas fever of Korean drama and immediately took the lead.
Starring Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and Shin Hyun Bin, "Reborn Rich" is a revenge-fantasy drama that follows the story of Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal employee working for the famous company Sunyang Group, who was betrayed and murdered by Jin Seong Joon, the eldest grandson of Sunyang Group.
However, he reincarnated as the youngest son of the same chaebol family and used the opportunity to plot his revenge against them.
'Reborn Rich' Makes History
To recall, the latest episode of the series recorded an average of 11.7 percent of viewership ratings in the Seoul metropolitan area, according to the data released by Nielsen Korea.
Adding to the drama's achievement during its pilot week is that "Reborn Rich" ranked first in the most buzzworthy drama, and Song Joong Ki topped the most buzzworthy actor according to Good Data Corporation.
Furthermore, Song Joong Ki's newly premiered series also made history in JTBC. Since "Reborn Rich" kicked off with an impressive start, its first episode managed to have an average rating of 6.1 percent nationwide. Due to the result, the drama set a new JTBC record for the highest drama premiere ratings this year.
"Reborn Rich" is also the only drama to achieve the second-highest premiere ratings of any JTBC series, which was bested only by the famous drama "The World of the Married" in 2020.
