'Summer Strike' Episode 1: Lee Yeo Reum Quits Time-Demanding Job

The episode begins with Lee Yeo Reum (Seolhyun), a 28-year-old woman who has lived a fierce life. Since she was a student, she was adamant to finish her studies and get a stable job.

Although she survived, she feels lost. She became an office worker at a publishing company. For four years, she worked hard without taking a rest.

Her boyfriend of six years even asked her to take some time off. However, things look more gloomy for Lee Yeo Reum when her mother suddenly passes away.

Unlike many others, her life didn't stop just because she was grieving. She continued to work and lived her daily life.

On her daily commute, she gets inspired by the scenery painted with spring and cherry blossoms that ignite a different kind of feeling in her heart.

Because of this, she decides to skip work and goes on an adventure to the countryside, hoping to find the inner peace she's been looking for a long time.

Lee Yeo Reum traded her 2.38 million KRW salary for her time and peace. In the quaint village of Angok, she hopes to live a fulfilling and simple life.

She promises herself not to do anything and go on a strike for life, and focus more on bettering herself, her mind and her heart.

Meanwhile, the Math genius of Angok, Ahn Dae Beom (Im Siwan), enjoys his free yet satisfying life as a librarian.

'Summer Strike' Episode 2: Lee Yeo Reum Falls In Love With Angok's Beauty

In episode 2, Lee Yeo Reum shows her hardships as she adapts to an unfamiliar environment.

She uses the money she earned while she was still working to buy a house in the countryside. However, Lee Yeo Reum wasn't aware that real estate and house prices were expensive even in rural areas.

After many reroutes, she settles down in a billiard room building with a monthly rent of 50,000 KRW, which had been vacant for 20 long years.

In order to live harmoniously, Lee Yeo Reum decides to decorate the house with adorable things. She visits the village market to find decorations and food for consumption.

She suddenly bumps into Kim Bom (Shin Eun Soo) at the village library, meeting new people who have lived longer at Angok.

To celebrate her independence and freedom, she drinks her heart out and relishes in the soju. When she gets drunk, she wanders around town and ends up at the library.

Unfortunately, the lights went off. In Angok, the lights turn off at night and restabilizes at 8:00 o'clock the following morning.

She had no choice but to stay up all night at the library. Unbeknownst to her, the librarian Ahn Dae Beom was also staying the night at the public library.

Lee Yeo Reum, who hails from Seoul, finally meets the handsome guy of Angok, drawing excitement from viewers all over the world.
