The year 2022 has offered a variety of exemplary dramas with intriguing plots and narrative, and some of them even enjoyed a syndrome-level success.

Here are five K-dramas that recorded impressive scores during its run, and received high praises from fans all over the world. Check out the list by reading more!

1. 'Our Blues'

Even before its premiere, tvN's "Our Blues" had already stirred the pot with its star-studded lineup which included Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Han Ji Min, Lee Byung Hun, Lee Jung Eun and more.

The first few episodes of the series were deemed underwhelming by fans but "Our Blues" topped the viewers' expectations as the work progressed.

Not only did it deliver a healing feeling every weekend, it also tackled sensitive life struggles like teenage pregnancy, depression and infidelity which raised awareness in today's society. "Our Blues" achieved an average rating of 10% during its run.

2. 'Juvenile Justice'

With the slew of crime and legal dramas that graced the screen this 2022, Kim Hye Soo's "Juvenile Justice" earned the loudest applause.

The series focused on the grim horrors of underage criminals which opened the eyes of many with its alarming social issues and life morals.

Although the South Korean audiences were a bit hesitant about its narrative, the international audience were impressed with the work. Kim Hye Soo' polarized the viewers with her morally gray character.

During its premiere, "Juvenile Justice" ranked at No. 1 in the Global Top 10 for non-English Netflix shows with almost 50 million viewing hours.

3. 'Twenty Five, Twenty One'

If fans could name one unforgettable 2022 K-drama, Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk's "Twenty Five, Twenty One" will always be mentioned.

The light-hearted series decorated the screen with its youthful narrative, and even encouraged viewers to never stop dreaming. Both the domestic and overseas channels were moved by the meaningful stories and relationships that were built in the drama.

Though fans were displeased with the open ending of the show, "Twenty Five, Twenty One" still managed to score an average rating of 10%.

4. 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'

Another work that has enjoyed a syndrome-level success is Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

It's a legal drama that centered on the life of a lawyer with autism; who navigates her life, her struggles inside and outside the court, and her relationships with her family, colleagues and love interest.

From Seoul, to Bangkok, Manila and more, viewers couldn't stop loving Woo to the Young to the Woo! In particular, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" received an over-all rating of 11%!

5. 'Alchemy of Souls'

Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook's "Alchemy of Souls" have struggled winning the viewers' hearts with its first few weeks of broadcast.

The series was also put in hot water for plagiarism allegations and historical distortion. However, since the series was under the genre of historical fantasy fiction, the series regained its momentum.

"Alchemy of Souls" followed the story of an assassin who is trapped inside a maidservant's body due to a spell that shifts people's souls.

With the drama's intriguing plot and impeccable cinematography, "Alchemy of Souls" managed to penetrate the international scene, gaining a solid fan base in Asia.

After 10 long weeks, the series scored an average rating of 10%. It is currently gearing up for its long-awaited return with Part 2, much to fans' delight!
