The actress has been on hiatus since her wedding and pregnancy with her firstborn. However, following reports about her possible K-drama comeback, the 32-year-old top star is sending signals about her return.

Park Shi Hye Greeted Fans with a Surprising Message on New Year

On Park Shin Hye's Instagram Stories, the actress gave a heartwarming message to fans as she welcomed 2023.

"To my beloved. It's kind of late but still Happy New Year," she said, adding, "I hope everything that you wish or want will come true and I hope all my beloved will always be happy and healthy."

Moreover, she concluded her post with a thrilling message that says, "See you soon, My Love. I miss you guys," making the fans' hearts flutter with excitement.

Will Park Shin Hye's New Drama Star Park Hyung Sik?

Prior to her Instagram stories, Park Shin Hye is in talks to star in an upcoming medical romance drama "Doctor Slump." According to the report, the actress is courted to headline the drama series along with Park Hyung Sik.

With this, her agency, SALT Entertainment, responded and confirmed that the actress "is positively reviewing the offer."

The same goes for Park Hyung Sik's agency P&Studio, who said that the actor is also positively considering joining the cast lineup.

Penned by ​​"What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" and Lee Hyeri and Jang Ki Yong's "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" screenwriter Baek Sun Woo worked on the upcoming series that depicts a doctor's highs and lows as they try to resuscitate their lives.

Moreover, the forthcoming K-drama will feature the growth and romance of two main characters who live a simple life after quitting their careers as doctors.

With this, Park Shin Hye portrays the role of Nam Ha Neul while Park Hyung Sik is set to take the role of Yeo Jung Woo.

Interestingly, the upcoming K-drama will be a reunion project between Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik after "The Heirs" which aired in 2013.

At the time, the actress played the main lead while the ZE:A member plays the supporting actor.

On the other hand, the upcoming drama series will be under JTBC and aims to release "Doctor Slump" in the last quarter of 2023.

To recall, Park Shin Hye is currently on hiatus after the actress married her longtime boyfriend Choi Tae Joon in January 2022.

Shortly after their wedding, the celebrity couple welcomed their little bundle of joy and gave birth to a son.

If the actress officially accepts the drama series, "Doctor Slump" will be her K-drama comeback after "Sisyphus: The Myth" in 2021 while it will be her first medical drama series after 7 years since the hit drama "Doctors" back in 2016.
