'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 29: Jang Uk and Crown Prince Go Won's Alliance
In episode 9 of "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow," it is revealed that Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho) has been in Jang Uk's (Lee Jae Wook) side all along, much to viewers' delight.
Crown Prince Go Won tells Jang Uk that he gathers all soul shifters under Jin Mu's (Jo Jae Yoon) protection so the other can annihilate them completely.
Meanwhile, Jin Bu Yeon (Go Yoon Jung) cryptically reveals that she's not the real Jin Bu Yeon, but a soul residing inside her body, leaving Jang Uk in confusion.

Elsewhere, Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun) learns that Jin MU concocted a potion that controlled every soul shifter in Daeho-the same potion that tricked Mu Deok (Jung So Min) in Part 1.
The Unanimous Assembly Retrieves The Ice Stone
Despite successfully surviving the dangerous Cheonbugwan prison, the Unanimous Assembly still summoned Jin Bu Yeon to manipulate Jang Uk into giving up the ice stone.
Jin Bu Yeon then reveals that Jin Mu is the one at fault for everything that happened in Daeho years ago. She also admits to killing Jin Mu after she traps him in the energy-sucking ice stone that slowly torments the other.
However, the Unanimous Assembly still wants to retrieve the ice stone from Jang Uk, especially now that all soul shifts have been killed, as their desire to become powerful intensifies.
To save Jang Uk, Jin Bu Yeon reveals that he spared one soul shifter; Naksu, his love of his life who also happens to be Jin Bu Yeon herself.
Jang Uk and Jin Bu Yeon's Demise
Jang Uk, who feigned ignorance about Naksu's existence, reconciles with her in Danhyanggok, the place where they realized their immense feelings for one another.
Despite their impending doom and demise, Jang Uk and Jin Bu Yeon-for the last time-express how much they love one another. Their love, which was beautiful, transcended time and destiny.
At the end of the episode, the Royal King is revealed to be the one who saved Jin Mu from death as he desires to become the powerful man in the fortress.
