‘Island’ Episode 5: Cha Eun Woo Receives News About His Brother Choi Tae Joon

In "Island" episode 5, Yo Han receives news about his brother Chan Hee's whereabouts and hopes he could finally reunite with him after a long time.

'Island' Episode 5: Van Almost Kills Won Mi Ho as Lust Demon Spirit Awakens His Body

In continuation of the previous episode, Van (Kim Nam Gil) tries to kill Won Mi Ho (Lee Da Hee) with his sword. Though he is possessed by the lust demon's energy, he manages to save Mi Ho by stabbing his arm.

Van feels disgusted after what he had done and disappears. Mi Ho, on the other hand, gets scared of him and faints in Yo Han's (Cha Eun Woo) arms.

Back at home, Butler Jang (Oh Gwang Rok) is shocked when Yo Han mentions that the demon slayer sacrificed his arm while saving Mi Ho. Mr. Jang claims that Van is the only one who could protect Wonjeong/Mi Ho. Yo Han disagrees and adds he will be the one to protect her.

Meanwhile, Gong Tan (Sung Joon) awakens the spirits at the stone statue, which alarms Van, and rushes out of the forest and checks what's happening.

The next day, a couple of trekkers are taking a trip in the forest when a woman spots a creature eating up human organs. Later on, she is attacked as well.

This makes it to national television, making people alarmed about the danger in the forest.

Vans Tries to Distance Himself From Won Mi Ho

Won Mi Ho goes to the forest by herself looking for Van. She tracks Van's location using GPS. The demon slayer is shocked to see her and wonders what she thinks of him after what he had done to her.

Van stops her from getting too close, but Mi Ho claims that he did not try to kill her but also saved her multiple times. They bicker over what happened until Mi Ho gets frustrated and leaves.

Back in the castle, Yo Han finally finds her and tells her how worried he was for her. The young priest suggests being Mi Ho's bodyguard, while Butler Jang insists that she should let Yo Han take care of her.

Back in the forest, Baek Joo (Dong Shim) gives Van first aid for his arm and scolds him for leaving Mi Ho alone. The demon slayer confesses that he almost killed her again and is worried that he might not be able to control the demon in him.

Yo Han Reunites With His Brother Chan Hee

Yo Han receives news about his brother Chan Hee (Choi Tae Joon) and is troubled after hearing it.

Both of them are adopted. After being separated from him for years, Yo Han hopes to find his brother back.

Chan Hee is a worker responsible for cleaning the boats and cabins on Jeju Island. Unfortunately, the owners of the boats that Chan Hee was cleaning are both murdered by the demon creature.

Gong Tan is the mastermind behind it and marks his revenge on humans.

An old man helps Chan Hee and provides meals for him. Chan Hee, on the other hand, looks for a new job.

Yo Han is sad, and Mi Ho decides to take him out on a drive. She takes the young priest to Su Jin's fiance's cafe.

Van watches them and later on returns to Baek Joo's house. He overhears the conversation of Baek Joo's friends talking about the demon eating human organs and rushes to find the evil spirits.

The next day, Mi Ho takes Yo Han to an abandoned orphanage from which the young priest and Chan Hee were adopted. The priest is touched and recalls memories with his brother when he visits his old room.

Meanwhile, Yo Han is told that Chan Hee is not far away, which he feels grateful for. However, they are being watched by Gong Tan.

Yo Han tells Mi Ho that he wants to meet Chan Hee alone, to which she agrees.

Su Jin's fiancee is hunted down by something and randomly visits Mi Ho.

Van immediately goes to the castle, sensing that Mi Ho is in danger. Gong Tan arrives at her house holding up Su Jin's fiancee's dead body.

Van eyed Gong Tan, and the two started chasing each other in the forest.

Yo Han, on the other hand, meets Chan Hee, who is wearing the same coat as the demon accompanying Gong Tan.
