Song Hye Kyo's "The Glory" became a phenomenon after its initial release for raising awareness about the rampant violence that takes place in most high school institutions.

It also opened the eyes of many people at how these grave situations are downplayed as "friendly pranks" and "jokes gone wrong."

With Part 2 in production, here are six amazing K-dramas that also focus on school violence that are worth checking out!

1. 'Who Are You: School 2015'

One of the OGs, Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk and BTOB Sungjae's "Who Are You: School 2015" is a drama classic that also focuses on bullying and school violence.

Released as the sixth installment of the "School" franchise, the 2015 work tells the story of an orphan girl who is bullied to death by her peers.

2. 'Weak Hero Class 1'

A latest release, Park Ji Hoon showed off his top notch acting chops as Yoon Si Eun in the webtoon-based series "Weak Hero Class 1."

Like "The Glory," the Wavve drama was also the talk of the town in 2022 for its gruesome and realistic portrayal of school violence.

Apart from that, it also tackles the painstaking beauty of friendship, trust and dreams.

3. 'Revenge of Others'

In the Disney+ drama "Revenge of Others," school violence is not only tackled but also its aftermath and how it affects the people who were left behind by the people who took their own life due to the pain.

The series also tells the story of Shin Ye Eun's search for the culprit who killed her brother, and how she punishes them in the most satisfying way.

Fun fact, Shin Ye Eun, in the drama, was the one who punishes the bullies but in "The Glory," she played the role of the younger version of Lim Ji Yeon, a bully and tormenter of Jung Ji So, the younger version of Song Hye Kyo.

4. 'Juvenile Justice'

Though Kim Hye Soo's "Juvenile Justice" isn't focused mainly on school violence and bullying, the series depicts how a tough judge punishes juvenile offenders in the juvenile court.

Like "The Glory," it gives viewers a new perspective about what truly happens outside the comforts of one's home.

In particular, the drama also shows that a criminal will always be given a proper sanction no matter what age.

5. 'Shadow Beauty'

Due to her hideous appearance, Shim Dal Gi becomes the subject of school bullying in "Shadow Beauty."

The series depicts the struggles of adolescents who go into puberty, the changes they experience and how they try to conform to society's standards.

6. 'The King of Pigs'

Kim Dong Wook and Kim Sung Kyu's 12-parter drama "The King of Pigs" is similar to "The Glory."

It tells the struggles of someone who was victimized by school bullies, and how it affected his life even decades later.

Even more so, the drama is also deemed "hard to watch" like Song Hye Kyo's work for its extremely graphic scenes.
