He chose to appear in the series to show off his versatility in hopes to appeal to his fans. He said, "Rather than doing a pretty boy character, I want to take on roles who have a sense of humanity for my fans."

Unlike his previous works, the actor focused on his line delivery and facial expressions, as well as subtle bodily gestures. In the series, Yoo Yeon Seok plays the role of a bank manager who lives a simple life of happiness.
