On March 6, the 2023 SBS Showcase New Lineup was uploaded on SBS YouTube channel. The clip contains the upcoming shows, particularly dramas under the said broadcasting company that will be released this year.
Included in the video are some scenes from the series scheduled to air in 2023. Among them, Kim Tae Ri's "The Devil" caught the attention of the viewers.
For the said project, writer Kim Eun Hee penned the script. "The Devil" tells the story of a woman possessed by a devil and a man who can see the devil and seeks the truth behind the mysterious deaths of five individuals.

Kim Tae Ri takes the role of Gu San Yeong, a public prosecutor who has been preparing for the 9th grade civil service exam. She got caught up in mysterious deaths after receiving her late father's belongings. Later on finds herself changing into a different appearance.
Oh Jung Se is Yeom Hae Sang, a professor from a rich family and has the ability to see spirits.
In the teaser provided for "The Devil," lead actress Kim Tae Ri immediately captured the attention of the masses as she added tension in the play by exhibiting various facial expressions. Her character was also involved in mysterious deaths, which adds to the audience's curiosity.
Oh Jung Se's character drew attention by telling Kim Tae Ri that she was possessed by an evil spirit. He asked her to put a mirror next to her and observe something different from her.
