Kim Seon Ho once again owned the nickname "good boy" after the actor chose to have a meaningful celebration for his birthday. 

The "Start-Up" star, who turns a year older on May 8, continues his birthday tradition by doing charitable activities.

As the South Korean heathrob turns 37, Kim Seon Ho has teamed up with Red Cross Korea to support various activities of the organization.

In a report cited by a local media outlet, Kim Seon Ho has donated part of his fan meet proceeds, amounting to 100 million KRW or 75,700 USD, "to help young people become self-reliant."

Moreover, the actor has decided to sponsor the activity after the non-profit organization introduced their mission to Kim Seon Ho and for the actor to help the younger generation have a "new start."

"This donation was made by fans," the actor said, as noted by the news portal. 

In addition, the South Korean heathrob took the opportunity to thank fans for showing their undying support and love for the actor. 

"I would like to thank my fans for always being with me," he said, adding, "I hope this opportunity will help young people who have to be self reliant."

In the same outlet, Red Cross Korea Chairman Shin Hee Young acknowledges the actor's charitable work and assures that the donation by Kim Seon Ho and fans will go for a good cause. 

"I hope that young people will be able to stand on their own as members of the social community through housing and emotional support programs," he said.

As mentioned, this is not the first time that the actor has celebrated his birthday with a meaningful cause. 

In addition, he also did several charitable works, including the relief efforts amid the typhoon in Pohang. 

As mentioned by an outlet, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association shared that the actor has donated his earnings from the theater play "Touching the Void" to help the victims of the typhoon.

After a tumultuous year for Kim Seon Ho back in 2021, the 37-year-old star bounces back from the slump after starring in his first ever movie. 

He will headline two upcoming films, starting with "The Childe," together with Go Ah Ra, Kim Kang Woo, and rookie actor Kang Tae Joo. 

Helmed by "V.I.P" and "The Witch" director Park Hoon Jung, Kim Seon Ho's new movie is an action drama that depicts the story of a Korean-Filipino boy who returns to South Korea to find his father. 

Besides "The Childe" Kim Seon Ho will also star in the upcoming film "Tyrant" alongside Cha Seung Won and will be reunited with Kim Kang Woo.
