After a year since the release of his medical drama "Ghost Doctor," Hallyu superstar Rain is finally coming back to the limelight with a brand new drama.

Rain & Kim Ha Neul Couple Up In 'Scandal of Hwain Family'

On May 26, Disney+ Korea announced the return of Rain and Kim Ha Neul as lead stars in the forthcoming series "Scandal of Hwain Family."

The drama depicts the story of an ambitious woman who marries the only heir of Hwain Group. When she finally becomes a member of the family, their darkest secrets unfold one by one.

In the series, Kim Ha Neul plays Wan Soo, a professional golf player who becomes the chairman of a reputable organization after marrying the heir of Hwain Group.

Meanwhile, Rain takes on the role of Do Yoon, a police academy graduate who's equipped with combat skills. When he joins Hwain Group with a hidden purpose, he is assigned to protect Wan Soo.

With the two actors' amazing filmography and skill sets, it's guaranteed that their comeback drama will be as great as their previous works.

Anticipation is high for Rain and Kim Ha Neul who are both talented stars and great contributors in the Hallyu scene.

'Scandal of Hwain Family' Further Details & Release Date

Through the brand new Disney+ series, Rain and Kim Ha Neul are expected to show the noticeable difference between social statuses against the backdrop of South Korea's 1%.

However, unlike other makjang dramas, "Scandal of Hwain Family" focuses on the romantic tryst between a conglomerate daughter-in-law and her bodyguard who has an ulterior motive behind his kind facade.
