MBC's 'Lovers' To Premiere This Summer

On June 27, media outlets reported that the upcoming MBC romance drama "Lovers," starring Ahn Eun Jin and Namgoong Min, is finally coming to the small screen.

The series is a much-anticipated work set in the Qing dynasty, and follows the unexpected romantic tryst between two individuals, who share opposing beliefs in love.

Ahn Eun Jin, who recently starred in "The Good Bad Mother," returns to the limelight as Yoo Gil Chae. She is a divorcee who possesses great beauty that entices many noblemen.

Meanwhile, Namgoong Min plays stoic and mysterious Lee Jang Hyun, who falls for Yoo Gil Chae despite his inhibitions during the war.

Previously, "Lovers" was slated to air in the second half of 2023. After completing the post production process, the series is now on queue for release.

On June 28, broadcast network MBC announced that the work will air its pilot episode on August 4.

"Lovers" guarantees to depict the ups and downs of relationships as well as the pain and beauty of romance amidst the background of the Qing invasion so tune in to its television debut.
