Yum Jung Ah spoke about her most memorable character and revealed why she is still thankful for "Sky Castle."

One of the most iconic Makjang series, the 2018 revenge drama captured the attention of viewers with the show's suspense scenes and thrilling revelations.

In her recent interview with Cosmopolitan Korea to talk about her past projects and new movie, Yum Yung Ah dishes on her most notable work and being booked and busy with back-to-back projects.

Yum Jung Ah Says Playing Han Seo Jin Is a 'Very Nice Piece of Work

In a YouTube video, she spoke about not having a break for "several years" but trying to hit pause after wrapping up a K-drama or film.

When asked about her unforgettable character, Yum Jung Ah chose Han Seo Jin from "Sky Castle" and mentioned that it's the role that "many people remember."

The 50-year-old beauty mentioned that it was her project that was special to her heart.

"It was the work that received the most love, and it was the work that served as an opportunity for me to continue acting until now," she said.

Recalling the character, the actress shared that playing Han Seo Jin "was something quite pleasant" and could still remember how the character was a "very nice piece of work."

In "Sky Castle," she is married to orthopedic surgeon Kang Joon Sang, played by Jung Joon Ho, and a mother to two daughters.

Although it seems like she is living her best life, Han Seo Jin harbors a surprising secret.

She is joined by equally stunning and talented actresses like Lee Tae Ran, Yoon Se Ah, Oh Na Ra, and Kim Seo Hyung.

Unfortunately, despite "Sky Castle" ending as the second-highest-rated Korean drama in cable history, the JTBC series did get a chance to be renewed for a sequel.

Despite this, Yum Jung Ah continues to star in various projects, whether K-drama or film.

As for her latest show, she is headlining the soon-to-be-released movie "Smugglers."

'Smugglers' Cast and Release Date

Joining are Kim Hye Soo, Jo In Sung, "Hellbound" actor Park Jung Min, Go Min Si, and more.

Helmed by Ryoo Seung Wan of "Escape from Mogadishu" and "Veteran" parts 1 and 2, "Smugglers" is an action crime film set in the 1970s.

It depicts the story of two women who unexpectedly became intertwined in a high-stakes smuggling syndicate.

In the same interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, Yum Jung Ah said that the atmosphere while filming the movie "was really the best."

"I was so happy every day that I didn't want to go home even after the staff, actors, and filming were over," she said, adding that she and her co-stars Park Jung Min and Jo In Sung were super close behind the camera.

"Smugglers" will officially hit the big screen on July 26.
